Truth be told, Rob caught the most fish once again. It was nice to meet everyone tonight. I plan on coming back again. And a big THANK YOU to Mariner Sails for the gift certificate. They were nothing but helpful each time I have been to thier store. Sooner or later I am not going to get lost getting there!

Congrats! I was out there too but launched at Katie's Woods with Todd. I didn't skunk, but my 10 1/4" bass wasn't gonna cut the mustard so I just headed home afterwards. Todd's fish was bigger than mine so he went to the weigh-in. On the way back in, apparently someone's jeep & trailer went down the boat ramp. A flat bed tow truck towed him out. From a distance we didn't know they were trying to pull up a vehicle. Crazy scene though with police boat on the water, fire truck & ambulance in the parking lot. Thought there were injuries or much worse. Todd took a couple of pics. It looked like it was totally submerged under water.

REN I was the guy that had that stringer full of sandbass at katie woods. One good thing about my kayak is I'll never sink my car trying to put my yak in lol

Good job Ron. I launched from Murrell, but only caught a couple of dinks and by the time I got off the water, I probably wasn't going to make it to Oak Grove by 9.

Got a school function to go to next Thursday, but hope to see y'all in two weeks.

Thanks again to Rob and MS for putting this together. Nice to be able to get out and get a little fishing in during the week!

This was my first time fishing from the kayak - took my college son with me. We had a blast - got skunked - but learned a lot about fishing from the yaks.

I think the winning total was 26" - 2 fish a 15" and an 11" if my memory serves me!

The difference between winners and losers:
Winners blame themselves for their failures and strive to get better.
Losers blame everybody else and give up.

I had fun last night. It didn't start out well for me because I was late, then realized I couldn't find my check it stick, then realized I forgot my camera. I made the best of it and tried to use the ruler on my paddel and my phone but the pics didn't turn out very good. Still had fun seeing everyone.

BTW when I got home I found my check it stick, turns out it was inside the yak the whole time. Doh!

rolfmao I'm going to have to remember that when the next person post the question "why do you like kayak fishing over boat fishing".

I feel for the owner of the jeep but it was kind of funny that when they had it sitting there with water pooring out the doors the windshield wipers were wiping.

The shirtless guy standing next to the guy in the black t-shirt are the owners. As I was leaving, they had the jeep taken off the flatbed & was trying to work on it. Guess they didn't want to pay for the transport of the jeep.

Todd when I got to the ramp they were working on the jeep still... Probably 915 when I left. I saw them, didn't think much of it, but now that I know the back story it is kinda amusing.
