Today was the first time this season it's just been me and the wife, w/o our kids in the boat(went to grandma's for the night).

I did everything I know how to do to find catfish, heck even perch.

I tried every bait, dead/alive/stink/punch/hotdogs/soap/etc.

I tried every leader setup

I tried every hook

I did everything that I know how to do.

I have decided that I've forgotten how to fish for any fish.

Before today, I could blame it on the kids making too much noise when we didn't catch fish.

Still haven't caught the first fish of the year yet from the boat.

ok go to a pond with tiny hooks and some worms put a tiny bobber around a foot above the hook then catch some perch. then u take those perch to the lake cut em up put em on a hook with a slip wieght then sit back and drink beer while the catfish come to you!!

Ive been feeling the same way lately.

alrighty, screw the boat, it can set all year as far as I'm concerned.

Two more times getting skunked, went out on Chambers Creek today and murdered the crappie, between me and the wife and kids, knocked out 40 in about 2 hours.

Only about 10 were keepers, so we may have caught the same 9 1/2 incher 30 times, but it made me feel a better that my fishing ability isn't completely gone...I just don't know how to fish from a boat anymore.

Interested in selling the boat? Lol

Bring that boat up here and we will scare the skunk off it!!!

Until then, It'll be a platform that I can use to drown those useless worms I keep buying

Use your electronics fish a spot for 20 mins an move on. Remember fish are starting to spawn so it's gonna be slow til augest or so
