How wide do you set your side imaging? I have mine set at 100 ft.

Worm, I normally set it at 50 feet. Still in learning mode with the side scan. I really prefer down scan on the left with sonoar on the right and a seperate unit with the lake map showing contour lines. Both our units are 5 inchers.

I'll play. All these are of hybrids since I don't fish for sand bass. All are from Lake Belton.

Classic "spaghetti". Suspended. Drifting. Late December

Classic "hay stack" or "pile" as my partner Sharc calls it. Anchor. Late December

This one is what I like to call "HOME RUN!" 2X zoom. Anchor. Early June.

Same school a few seconds later zoomed out.

Another "home run". Drifting. Mid May.

Tawakoni white bass & hybrids

Cedar Creek white bass & hybrids
Waypoint 40 was when I started marking fish. Waypoint 41 is where I stopped marking fish. I put the boat in the middle of the two and started to catch. The horizontal line you see at 20ft is a 2 oz egg weight.

Cedar Creek Hybrid
This is a hybrid that came up from the bottom and grabbed the bait.

Okay here is the mother of all graph shots. Taken from my old LCX-27C. This was off of a ridge to flat to ridge on Ray Hubbard and shows a large school of sandbass. There are no trees in this area so the tree looking signature towards the middle is the "Christams Tree" reading some may have heard before. The defined arches are due to a slightly faster than idle speed (about 3-4 MPH). The second and third graph pics are closer to idle speed, therefore the arches elongate. Understanding how this works can help aid (somewhat) in the direction fish are moving under you. I think even my buddy Craig Golden could catch fish out of this bunch laugh

The streak in the middle of the picture is my slab.

These are GREAT pics, Thanks!!!!! When looking for schooling fish can you use main motor, or do you have to use trolling motor? I'm just starting to get into hybrids and sandies so any help is greatly appreciated.

Here is mine. Turned on the Fish ID to confirm what I was seeing (usually don't have it turned on). Lake Lewisville at the old damn cut.

Great stuff guys, I have seen my screen look this way on PK but most of these shots beat all I normally find on Gradbury or BB. Makes me wish I lived closer to Dallas, thought I'd never say that. lol.

Catch and release into the grease!
