YesI too have the bug to get a kayak. I have done alot of reading and have narrowed it down to these two. I'm 5"7' and 220lbs (kinda a big guy..LOL)and plan to use it in the back bays and would like to be able to get off and on to do a little wadeing, maybe the surf if it calm. I don't mind being a little wet(it is a SOT). Could anyone give me some input.

These are the two I would choose from. The 140 is a little faster and has a deeper tank well. The ride is more stable. A little more hull slap. Either way, you need a rudder. Paddle both and try before you buy. p

thank for the feed back and thanks for the reinforcement... I'm setting up a deal with a local paddle shop to bring a few kayaks for me to try.
Can i ask what do you paddle.

I am in a Ride very stable. I have paddled the 140 but like to be able to stand in my yak while I am fishing.
