Yep! Kayaks are a good way to fish any water. Especially the rivers around here and shallow water on the Texas coast at Port Aransas. I fished last Sunday below Whitney Dam and caught many fish on poppers and a streamer with the fly rod. I have a sit inside "Ride" that is very stable and comfortable.
In March this year I caught a large carp 29" long that was very fat from the kayak. Was pulled around in the Yak. A few weeks ago I caught a blue catfish on a topwater popper and 5 wt flyrod that was 23" and went almost 6 lbs from the Brazos River.

I lived in Wyoming for 2yr's and di a little river fishing out of a kayak on the yellow stone river it's a loot of fun I can't wate to go do it next sumer

I fish from a sit on top Ride by WS. White Rock, Grapevine, Ray Hubbard. So many lakes so little time. Also fished the coast quite a bit. More luck on the coast than inland. If anyone would like to hook up some time send me an email
