 What is going on with my hummingbird

I will be in familiar water of 12ft and all the sudden it will start showing 345 ft and just all kinds of crazy depth numbers. And my gps part will have me going in circles. Then after I reset my goto several times it will get me There an my images are terrible sometimeS won't even show me the image. Been working great til this outing always stored inside. It is a 798 humminbird. It is about 8 months old.

Are you running Switchfire Clear Mode in shallow water? Also Surface Clutter setting needs to be above 5 in shallow water.
