 best starting jigs?

advise?
what are some of yalls favorite "go to" jig color combos?
ill be stopping at academy to pick up a few starter jigs and some other things.

Anything "chartreuse".
Where will you be fishing? Some lakes real seem to have a color combo that the fish prefer.

I always have white/chart tied on. Black/chart would be second but there is always room for combos in pink, orange, blue and brown

any specific types of jigs? ones that i can get at academy?
brand names? shapes?

brand names? shapes? Call up Matthew at Jigum Jigs. Tell him where you fish and he can tell you what normally works good there. His number is in my signature. He makes great jigs You can also check with Tim at TNT Jigs. He makes great jigs too. http://www.tnttackleonline.com/
