Caught close to 100 fish today on minnows and jigs on the vine. Kept 22 of the gooduns. Caught on any kind of structure at depths from 6 foot to 14 foot. Several fish in the 13 to 15 inch range.

Beleive it or not, the bite was different today because the wind was out of the NE. I caught a lot of short fish and the keepers where 1 keeper to 4 or 5 short fish. Come 3 more weeks and that will change. The big fish are just now finishing up spawning on Grapevine. Here in the next couple weeks the will settle in on the structure/BP's and then it's game on. I can hardly wait!
I've been fishing this lake for 22 years and this year is showing to be a very good year. You have to find structure and the fish will be there and if not, move to different structure and at the end of the day you will catch quality fish.

Very nice catch but it must've been on Lewisville. There aren't any crappie in GV......

There are no crappie on the vine,and don't believe everything you read on the internet,but if there were they would be short and six or seven to one keepers,so go fish somewhere else, lots of sandys and cats out there but very few crappie.
