This is not Jerry Dale Pogue's first rodeo.

So I'm guessing news of my dads arrest/theft has gotten out. It is true he was on something (pills/meth) and that he was stealing the scrap metal from that land. I don't think this deserves a bullet though, as there are such things as rehab and sitting in jail til you sober up and get a hold on your life that exist for people nowadays.
My dad has screwed up on multiple occasions. The two links posted about previous arrests are real, though the first one was drugs in a friends truck he was driving and the resisting arrest was due to corrupt police officers in Mineola who proceeded to beat him into a coma while he was hogtied, with him actually being picked up at Wal-Mart while on pains meds and alcohol.
Not trying to say he didn't do wrong and doesn't deserve punishment, but I do think that him staying in jail and realizing he's screwing his whole life up would definitely be a good thing.
He has a problem that needs to be fixed and I don't think a bullet is going to fix his or anyone elses drug problems.
Also, I think theft is one of the things I could never bring myself to do, and while it is true he had a pile of scrap metals piled up, I personally checked the piles out and there was no copper to be found. Not sure if that means anything, but yeah, just figured I'd share

Sorry to hear about your dad's addiction issues. Hopefully he'll get the help that it sounds like he really needs.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Maybe if I can show him all these comments on this thread he'll understand his faults finally
