June 10, 2006 � San Marcos, Texas � Texas Water Safari � The Texas Water Safari is an annual, 260-mile, non-stop canoe race. It begins at 9 a.m. in Spring Lake (the headwater of the San Marcos River) near the Texas Rivers Center and continues downstream to the Guadalupe River, down the Guadalupe River to the coast, across San Antonio Bay and ending at Seadrift, Texas.
