+1 good ramp. Barry put alot of work in the ramp to make it one of the best on the lake. $3. To launch but you don't have to worry about you truck and you get a good safe ramp .

There is good fishing on both sides, but not much vegetation anywhere. You'll find a little around the banks all over. Remember this is a dangerous water level for Fork, lots of stumps just under the surface. Only run the boat lanes and don't assume another boater knows what they are doing and run behind them (they may not).
Good luck, fishing is pretty good right now, and be sure to take advantage of the sunrise bite!

Are the boat lanes on fork marked or is a chip necessary. Any reviews for the "boatlanes" download?? Hope I'm not hijacking I think answers to these questions would be value to the OP!

You can catch them shallow or deep. Just fish to your strengths.

We were down there from KC area 10 days ago, and we purchased "BoatLanes" online. Worked fine once we figured out the upload instructions are wrong on their site, and they sent me an updated version for my Humminbird 798 with updated software in it. I don't know how you would navigate that lake safely outside of the buoyed boat lanes without one unless you fished it regularly. I recommend the Boatlanes purchase.
