I have a 3 bank charger on my boat and installed a new battery, it is my second trolling motor batter so I connected positive to negative since it is a 24 volt trollin motor. My question is do I connect the positive of the charger to the positive of the battery or do I reverse that as well? Thank yall and I hope this makes sense

I hooked it pos to pos and neg to neg but I will use the boat all day and it says its charged....what could I be doing wrong
