AS RussPrater said, you are looking for the spillway at Beach and I-30 on the north side. Can't miss it.
Of course every bridge pilling is a target. At the bottom of that spillway, I have had okay luck and just about anything can be found, crappie, bass, sandies, gar, catfish. The only thing is there is a ton of stuff to hang you up, so make sure to cast something cheap until you learn the safe lanes

Or go with a texas rigged worm.
Further upstream, at 4th street a bit south of Hwy 121. On the east side, there is a parking spot there and another spillway. Upstream of that spillway is 3 bridges for 4th st. Belknap, and Hwy121.. Also on the east bank, there is a ramp with a small concrete dock, always seems to be a bass hiding around that. So if you want to hike a bit at least you are hiking from a spillway to bridges, I usually catch something.
I have also heard people having good luck, under the bridge where white settlement road crosses the trinity river.
Right below the TCC campus on Taylor Street. There is a park there, and two rivers join up. I have had luck under the foot bridge and on the other side casting into the "V" of the two rivers.
My personal ranking :
Beach & I-30
4th Street
Taylor St.
White Settlement.
Remember no eating what you catch

.
If you are hungry, look up the SmokePit on Belknap St. Long standing local favorite, Great lunch specials. Their Friday special is a 2inch smoked pork chop. It is enough food to feed 2 people, and is one of the best things you will ever eat

. Go before 12:30 or they will be sold out.
Downtown Fort Worth, on Riscky's BBQ on 2nd street and Main, all you can eat Beef Ribs everyday.
-have fun
