You can catch them in almost any body of water in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The creeks are full of them!

He's looking for megagills, 'dude, not just any gill. Right now, they are shallow and hugging banks in most lakes. I talked to a buddy last week who told me he nailed some serious sized gills at Ray Hubbard, fishing a sand flat near some rocks. That is as close to a location as he would give me, lol.

Traditionally, White Rock Lake holds some mega gills in huge beds all around the lake, near the cattails and bullrushes. Try there with crickets and worms, and tube jigs.

I'm seeing them up the river spawning. Huge ones too. 9-10 inchers. Seeing some on lavon in coves on beds too.
