Contacted Eppersons guide service and set up a trip with Clay for last Wednesday. Palestine is a quality fish lake for sure. These 2 went 2.26 and 2.08. We managed a 2 man limit, but being selective, I only kept 18 of the biggest. These along with 16 more went for a total weight of 35.98, which gave us around a 1.99 weight per fish. We were vertical jigging brush piles in 12 to 15 FOW using 1/8 oz chartuse/orange feather jigs. Planning on being with him again in Oct.  Pictures don't do these fish justice!

great catch u have there! and like you say,the picture just doesn't do them justice....seen a few of those....hit'em hard in october.... I grew up in Arkansas fishing for crappie. I never caught a 2 pound crappie in my life. I don't remember ever seeing one, except in pictures.
