I've never used Sure Shot before, but decided to give it a try today on the Trinity. I had rods out with shad, chicken livers and Sure Shot. Had a channel cat on a sure shot line before all my rods were placed. Only fished for a few hours and caught 5 channel cats, all on the Sure Shot.
I also caught a 7.5# carp on the Sure Shot! Needless to say, i'm a convert. Now I gotta get out on the lake and see what it can really do!

I hear ya. Fished with cut shad and CJs crawfish a few days ago on the river, caught 5 channels and all of em were on CJs. When it comes to channels I'm sticking with a punch bait from now on.

SS stays on the hook really well, better than the other brands ive tried. I was using two 1-oz egg sinkers with an 18 inch leader tied to a #6 treble. I had one rigged up santee style but didn't get any hits on it. They pferr it on the bottom.

On bottom I give up Gotta be honest with you, I fished 4 rods the other day, all baits were near each other in about 4 feet of water. Had 2 with CJs shad and the other 2 with CJs crawfish...Caught fish only on the crawfish flavor. Went and bought another jug after that trip.
