I hope the rain keeps coming. I have been fishing every weekend at Grapevine for a month now, but since the lake has risen the fishing has been great. The best thing no other fishing boats! So I have had the whole place to myself except one other tuber saturday. The lake is coming down now so the ramps will re-open if not already opened. The bass are holding right off the flooded banks about where the old bank line was. Once the lake goes back down it will probably slow down, so take advantage if you can.

What part of the lake are you tubing in? Have you been in the Twin Coves area?

Sorry, was away for a while. I have been fishing in the twin coves area. I have been catching all my fish on texas rigged worms. I just cast to the flooded areas and that is where most of the fish have come from. Txout, what time where you fishing last Saturday? I was out there in the late afternoon after the rain stopped. The bass will also school up but they only stay on top for a very short period. I think a fluke or wacky rig might work well also. One other thing is I have mostly caught the spotted bass.

Hey Whopa - I was out there from the early am till about 4pm, I think. I've been using TR worms as well - caught a few, but probably not in the best location. I put in on fishing trail 7 (pretty sure). If the weather holds out, I will be goin back (or to Lewisville) this Saturday. They seem to like Powerworms (watermelon and watermelon candy). I've also caught a couple on lake fork craws.

I will try to fish Saturday afternoon at twin coves. I usually golf in the morning then fish late in the afternoon. If the weather is bad, I might go out in the morning. All I ever use is a zoom utale plum worm texas rigged. Plum is the secret for Grapevine at least it was. I might try a fluke or texas rigged wacky rigged worm this time as well.
