Jig. I like to fish for big bass and nothing catches more big fish than a jig.

I fish a 4" chompers finesse worm 75% of the time on a dropshot. It will catch every fish that swims.... the only problem is that there are a LOT more small fish than larger fish... A jig, as Mr Fouzman stated is the only consistent lure I have used to catch quality fish.

I have a few jigs...but haven't had any luck with them. I have 1/2 oz booyah, watermelon. I trailed it with a watermelon baby brush hog. No luck yet.
Any tips from you pros?

1/2 oz? What do you use as trailer? Depends on the time of year and depth I'm fishing. When the water is cold and fish aren't aggressive, I'll throw a 1/4 oz. finesse jig with an Uncle Josh Big Daddy Pork Frog. As the water warms, I'll move up to a 3/8 oz and switch to plastics for trailers. 1/2 oz. is what I throw most in warm weather unless I'm fishing really deep. Then I'll throw a football jig as heavy as 1.5 oz with a plastic trailer. Favorite plastic trailers are Rage Craws, Grande Bass craws and LFT HyperFreaks. Favorite colors for jigs are blk/blu, pb&j, greens, browns and white (if I'm swimming it or stroking it trying to immitate shad). As for trailer colors, sometimes I will match the jig and trailer and others I will go with a color completely different than the jig. Again, that depends on what I'm trying to imitate with my jig plus on-the-water observation as to what color combos work best that day.

My favorite baits for LMB would be Jig's and Spinners!
Jig's because there easy to use and come in a variety of color's and style's And spinners for the same reason .

If you give a person a fish, they'll fish for a day. But if you train a person to fish, they'll fish for a lifetime.

Favorite bait is a buzzbait or top water popper because of the visual explosion.
Most effective bait is a 5" to 7" plastic worm, rigged on a shakey head or Texas rigged, because you can catch numbers and size on a worm.
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

Favorite? A jig. Most consistent? Probably a spinnerbait or squarebill.
You know the old saying
If it floats, flys, or f___s it is always cheaper to rent!
You have to decide which is more important.
