For once in my life, the Classic will be within 6 hours of my home. I'm thinking about heading down to Grand Lake for the tournament, but I'm starting to wonder if I'd have any chance to participate as a marshall?? Anyone know how that process works? What are the requirements/pre-requisites??
Thanks for any and all information. Tulsa in February might be BRUTAL weather wise, but I'm pretty intrigued by the lake choice.

I wouldn't count on being a marshall at the classic. From what I have heard they use a lot of sponsor people for that. Not saying it is impossible. Just not probable. Would probably help if you were a marshall at other events before that one.

Just attending is an experience its self, I have been to 2 of them and had a blast both times. To be a marshall would be the cream of the crop I think it is real hard to be one like TX Basser mentioned.

Well, Harold, I appreciate your comment and attitude! BUT.....that's what I was trying to do with this post was TRY!! I've googled the heck out of "how to become a marshall" and I can't find anything. Even on the BassMaster Classic page.......NOTHING.
Anyone know HOW to try??? I'm not afraid of failing........I do it all the time!!! But, I don't even know how to set my self up for failure in this game.

My buddy marshalled for Steve Kennedy this year at the classic on red river. You just have to be a federation member and put your name in the hat. Try finding a bass club in your area that's in the federation and they usually can tell you all the details.
