I am not a fan of the E-tec. Would go with the Yamaha or a Honda

Go with the outboard that has a good service dealer handy. All new engines will start and run great when brand new. The problem is ........ what you do if it quits running? The repair shop needs to be handy and not 100 miles or so away.

went with the E-Tec,,,,,,,,an awesome machine,,,,,,Less service ( much less) greater torque, quiet, and very low emissions,,,no smoke at all on the trail run I took with it,,,,
