She will like Tyler SP. We stayed there last summer. There is a good a swimming hole, good hiking, fishing, bike riding, and in the piney woods. Watch out for the racoons. They know how to open a minnow bucket and will pull them out of the water and eat the minnows. Put a lock on the door if you can. Put stuff on top of your cooler too or they will open it and rob you. They come out just around dinner time and aren't scared.

+1 on meridian it is so beautiful there plus the old creek on the south side of the lake has primitive camping and is very scenic. hands down my choice plus you wanna talk about some great stargazing out there as well.

So Tyler it is. Anyone have a recommendation on what part of the lake to camp? We wont need water or elec, if it excludes the good spots. The Northeast, and the Southeast end look good to me, but I know satellite maps don't always give the full picture.

I appreciate all the help by the way.

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

Any of the camp sites are good at Tyler State Park. Hope you have a great time!
