Southwest Outdoors Report did a couple episodes out on Amistad lately. They have them on their site.

1 May 2012 Amistad Report, sorry its been awhile since I posted a report but I've been on the water what seems everyday! Fishing has been great, we are still in all three fazes of the spawn. I would say about 75% complete. I did catch a couple females last week that just moved up and where fat and healthy. My main pattern has been edges of spawning flats and secondary points. The bigger fish spawned deeper this year due to our water level dropping (19ft low). Alot of males shallow on beds and no females in sight. The 2-3lb bite has been steady in 5-15ft of water, throwing a topwater in the morning and Tx-rig worms. Secondary and main lake points with a football jig, C-rig and deep cranks gives you a good shot at a bigger fish 15-30ft. The grass is sparse right now but if you find some fish it! The post spawn fish are recovering and ready to start eating heavy. Swim bait bite has been hit and miss for me, but I know several guys doing very well with them. Come on down to the big blue! If you are headed down feel free to give me a call and I'll help ya out. I'm currently all booked for May, I have a few spots left open in June. Tight lines! jensensguideservice.com
