Personally I'd check on the Deep Vees first. Love the ride and comfort I have experienced the past few years during trips with Guy Skinner and Chuck Rollins.

I agree with another poster. I think if you're patient and check the forums you could come up with a really nice, serviceable Deep Vee for less money. Example: Noticed a Lund recently for around 18,000. That's 12k in your pocket for more crappie tackle.

If you could buy either, which would you buy?

I like the H18PFC, but its a bit more than I care to spend for a tin boat with all the trimmings.

I'm talking to the bank tomorrow about an xpress XP18SS thumb

We are selling our Bay Boat since we never seem to have the time to use it. It's been in covered storage since new. It's a 2005 Nautic Star 18' with a 90HP Johnson Saltwater Edition/Stainless Prop. The water pump/impeller were replaced last August for preventative maintenance. The hour meter stopped working; however, i'm sure it has no more than 100 hours on it. It's been flushed with Salt-Terminator after every time in the bay. Has Livewell/Baitwell in front of console, seat-cooler (~80qt), anchor storage up front, console storage, boat cover and more. It'll run 43 mph with just me and 38 mph fully loaded with 4 guys/gear. This boat will run very well in chop and keep you dry!

Bobby I found this on texasbowhunter.com. He is asking $11000 which is a great deal. This is a size below my NauticStar and I'm very happy with mine. Just thought I would post for you to look at.

Good luck

Clay

Of those 3 choices, the Crestliner hands down would be my pick.

WOOHOO, we can fish out of your boat @ Waco. I can sit back, relax and just catch fish. No looking for fish, holding on BP's in 20+ mile an hour wind to win a couple of bucks during a tourney. banana All on you now my brother. clap

Wow ... I know Crestliner is a fine boat, my buddy has a tuffy a fine boat as well. I don't think you can go wrong. I have seen a bunch of crestliners, I like that boat the best, besides Lund. wink

I just got my little 16' Xpress w/ a 50 Yamaha not long ago (used) but I love it. Not sure about the construction on the others, but there's not a single splinter of wood in it to rot was one of my selling points. Would have liked to look at Lund but they were out of my price range...
