 2005 Yamaha V Max surging

My RPM guage is not working but the motor will surge around 30 mph. At a slow speed it works great and at a higher speed it works great. It started this winter around November. I put the boat in storage with fuel stabilizer and Yamaha Ring free in the gas. I had the boat out about 15 days since it started and it happens every time at 30 mph. Bad gas? Change fuel filter? Any help would be great.

If it was happening at a higher rpm is say fuel pumps. They go out with a good stiff breeze and is frustrating. I'm replacing mine now for the second time since August.
Anyway I'd look at the o2 sensor. They can be cleaned and you can buy a replacement at any auto store. They do not have to be a factory yamaha part. There is a tutorial on bbc about doing this.

O2 sensor or dirty screen on the fuel pressure regulator.

What is BBC? I would like to review the tutorial. I do not know where the O2 sensor is located. I also need a schematic. I will look for one.

bbc= bassboatcentral.com It's flat loaded with great info. Many legit experts go there so feel free to ask in the yamaha forum and see what the overall opinion is on your problem.
