Nope, well...not easily. Small populations are in Eagle Mountain and Lake Worth. I know for a fact they are also in the Elm Fork Trinity, again...small numbers. Brazos River near Glen View and Waco, same thing.
There's also the occasional sighting at Grapevine and other other lakes, but they're probably just large Longnose Gar.
Recent Notables: 40lb Flathead, 30lb Carp, 25lb Buffalo.

I hate to tell you but there are NO ALLIGATOR GAR in the lakes you mentioned I have fished them all and they are not there , most people think that spotted gar are alligtor gar , anywhere in the Trinity river system , and the Brazos river BELOW WACO there are alligator gar and I know all yall will argue with me but its a fact , I have chased them everyday for a living ...

Def not a fact. There are 100% Gator gar in Lake Worth and the Trinity behind. I know because I have caught them up to a 100#'s. I have been on catfishing boats and have had big gator gar in Eagle Mountain too just never had the leaders or gear to boat them. And no I am not talking about long nose gar either. I know you guide everyday but I have fished those waters my whole life. They are not plentifull but they are there

Back in Oct, 1999. Me and my father almost hit a Gator Gar with our boat, while they where rolling in the area called Bear Creek Flats, Lake Whitney. These weren't Longnose gar ether, most of the one's we seen where about 7ft in length.
I wonder how many, or if there's any left due to all the golden algae outbreaks throughout the years?

I no for a fact that the Trinity below Lake Worth holds big Gator Gar. Especially the section from Camp Carter bridge up to the falls. I have seen them along side my kayak and in the evening they get really active.

Saw one in the Trinity last night at I-30 & Beach St. last night. Nothing too big slightly over 4 ft. Looked like maybe there were more. Lot's gar rising and making big splashes. Only saw that one up close that was for sure a gator gar. I saw him come up from only 6 ft from the bank and stick his whole head out of the water.
