Stainless prop has about 1/4" play. Took nut off and tried to tighten. Helped some but still has movement. Is this normal??

You mean a 1/4 inch?

If so that sounds like alot, but I think you are supposed to have some play in the prop forward and back.

What you are feeling is the propshaft end play and that is normal...OPTI
