Run the engine about five minutes on the hose/earmuffs. Shut down and feel the spark plugs, You can tell by the temperature of the plugs if each cylinder is fireing. You probably have either float needle stuck in some of the carbs or they need cleaning. b

If I'm not fishing or hunting I'm hunting a place to fish or hunt.

Pumpin' tha bulb and get a increase in rpm indicates ya still got a fuel problem. More than likely what was said 'bout tha fuel pump. Could be floats but I would go with tha pump first........jmo

Sounds like you only running on 3 or possible 4 If you have lost fire to 3 holes on the same side its going to be a switchbox and if you has lost fire to 2 holes one on each back its going to be a trigger. But like I said it sounds like it is not firing on all cylinders.Need to have the ignition checked.....OPTI

Your looking at around 2hrs labor and if is a switchbox.A couple of years ago the box was around 300 and if it is the trigger it's around 200. I would find some that knows this system and knows how to diagnoise it and not a aka parts changer....OPTI

i FOUND THIS INFO

No fire or Intermittent on One or More Cylinders:
Note: If two cylinders on separate packs are not firing, check the trigger as described in # 1 below. The trigger has three coils firing
six cylinders. #1 and 4 share a trigger coil, 2 and 5 share a trigger coil and 3 and 6 share a trigger coil.
1. Connect a spark gap tester and verify which cylinders are misfiring. If the cylinders are only misfiring above an idle, connect an
inductive Tachometer to all cylinders and try to isolate the problem cylinders.
2. Check the trigger resistance and DVA output as shown below:
BLACK SLEEVE TO YELLOW SLEEVE Resistance DVA Reading
Brown wire White wire 800-1400 4V or more Connected
White wire Purple wire 800-1400 4V or more Connected
Purple wire Brown wire 800-1400 4V or more Connected
Brown wire Engine Ground Open 1 V or more Connected
White wire Engine Ground Open 1 V or more Connected

Engine Ground Brown wire Open 1 V or more Connected

when it sounds like its going to die try bumping the key in to give it a short blast of fuel if it picks up you have a fuel delivery problem most likley in the carbs

dropped it off at the experts today, gotta get back to work. Did notice that coming from the heads is a fitting with 2 spots for tubing only 1 line is connected (fuel line) the other is not, also on the oil tank that's mounted to the motor is a 3way that only have 2 lines, is that correct? or should the oil tank be connected to the head for vacuum

Sounds like a good idea, with a 2 stroke and fuel issues things can get nasty fast, add onto it that it may not be cooling correctly and the mess gets bigger. If your going to work on it yourself investing in a good service manual is money well spent.
