What lures do most people use at night? I have read that darker colors are usually better. Is the bite usually deep or shallow this time of year?

Also, I spoke with a friend that uses UV/Black lights on the boat to see the line better. Any recommendations for lights? I would think you would have to have some sort of light if there is no moon.

Thanks for the tips.

My night spots are also my day spots. However, they do tend to move shallow sometimes at night. I've had success throwing both dark and normal color plastics too. Love night fishing. Tend to have lake to yourself.

Get it done, no excuses.

Yeah, less people on the lake for sure. The only problem I could think of was being able to see my line well.

Black spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and tubes with internal rattles.

Black is my go-to color at night, normally the same lures as I use during the day. Any topwater structure will usually get a black jitterbug thrown to it, the bass go nuts.

Drag a T-Rigged 10" or 12" Power worm (preferably a dark color), works great at night. Occasionally, I'll kick back (With a cold one) and use Live Bait also: Bream and Large Shiners.

Black spinner baits on wind points work well for me with black lizard on structure.

Thanks for the input. I picked up War Eagle black buzzbait, spinner bait, and a jitterbug today. They only had a 1/4 oz size. Are there any bigger sizes?

10 inch-BLK/Blue- Berkley -(Power Worm).
Also I put a glass bead between the weight and hook(little noise never hurts).

Fishing at night will make you a better fisherman because you go off a feel a majority of the time.

Also, color is overrated at night...use what you would use during the day.

I like to use a black spinner bait with colorado blades. I have always heard black is a good color to use at night and for me it has proven true.
