Here's what I'm thinking:
September 29th or October 14th, 6 a.m. til noon
$25 entry, $10 optional big bass pot OR $10 optional biggest NON-BASS pot (what do ya think about that idea?) 100% payback
tubers/yakkers/canoes permitted--no motorized crafts
Meridian State Park, pending speaking to the park staff. Most state parks have been VERY accomodating about early entry, but I'll need to speak to them. This park is somewhat centrally located. It is about an hour and a half south of Fort Worth, which would hopefully allow some of you guys who are more centrally or southerly located to participate. Lake Meridian is 72 acres, so it would be very possible to spread out and cover the majority of the lake.
Post tournament hamburger cookout.
Your thoughts?

I think we should just stick with the above mentioned plan but have the tourney on Saturday, October 14th. This will allow everybody time to get ready and maybe do some pre-fishing.
If you would like, I can call and make the arrangements just shot me an e-mail with the park's number.

Boys, to be honest, I'm just too busy right now to get it together. I've got obligations now the next 3 weekends.
My suggestion is to join in the fun at Purtis Creek. It sounds like it is going to be a great event.
I apologize for any inconvenience--life has just gotten a bit hectic for planning fishing tournaments.
I am already marking calendar days for a couple of spring events, however. I'm going to be soliciting some sponsorships before I announce anything. I'll get info out as soon as they are available here in the next few months.
