Recently bought a ranger 1850 w 150 2 stroke. It has a 19p prop. Seems like plenty of power that I could go higher pitch to increase the top end and drop the revs at cruise. Main use of boat is fishing and pulling a tube. No skiing so don't need a great hole shot.

Sounds like it may be maxed out on prop.....The motor is a 150?......The numbers you are quoting sounds like performance you'd get out of a 115 with that prop.......a 150 with a 19" pitch would probably be turning over 6000 rpms on that boat......

Looked around and found some engine performance reports on 150s on the 1850. They were 17p, 5800 rpm, and 46mph. So looks like 19 is already prob max on the boat. Oh well didn't want to spend more cash anyway...
