If this has been asked before, I apoligize. Does the HDS bundle have the structure scan built into the unit, or does it come with the seperate LSS unit? I've searched every site and can think of and can't find the answer.

I have a HDS 5 which I am going to move to the bow. I will need to link the two units together for waypoint sharing. I'm not really concerned about DI or structure scan on the bow unit. However waypoint sharing is a must.

I'll be using the console HDS unit with the LSS transducer on the rear of the boat for finding brush piles etc., create a waypoint, then using the bow HDS unit with it's transducer on the trolling motor to fish the waypoint created by the console unit.

Are their any advantages or disadvantages with the bundle vs the seperate LSS unit?

Any info appreciated, Bryan

It comes with separate LSS unit. The only advantage is that the bundle is slightly cheaper. Zero hardware or softare differences.
