Day two on fork and got skunked, had boat trouble and about lost trolling motor to a stump. Big thanks to JJ's marine on 515 that got me back on the water. Missed a few early on buzzbaits.
Very frustrated at this point. Oh and also broke one of my loomis today.

Day 3 was better, I boated 6 biggest 5 lbs 21 inches and lost 3 other. My partner went in the drink after we hit a stump coming out off little caney. He is fine and saved his coffee cup but lost his oakleys. Funniest thing I ever saw like in slow motion!!

Been thinking about going there but worried about tearing up my boat. Let me know what u think of it after a whole week there. My son is dying to go there I just don't want to fish a lake we don't know and tear stuff up.

It is a whole different ball game for me. I am used too farm ponds in Nebraska, I guess the first time I take my boat to a big lake it might as well be lake fork. My anxiety still is up cruising around but I think it is way better being on there for a few days in a row.

You have to break her like a wild horse. Stay with it and all will come together for ya.
Stay on the bouy boat lane when on a plain and creep when going into the stumps.
