A buddy of mine has a crack in the hull of his bass tracker. Is this pretty common? Any recommendations on the best way to repair these? Your help is greatly appreciated....thanks in advance.

I have a PT-170 Tracker. It has started taking on a small amount of water (bilge pump will pump water for 20-30 seconds every 2 hours). I cannot find out where the water is coming from. What model tracker are you talking about and where is the crack in the hull. I'll look in the same area to see if mine is leaking there.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles

I'm assuming you're talking about an aluminum boat.Find a good welder with a TIG machine. Drill a small hole in each end of the crack to stop it from spreading before you weld it. Be sure there isn't anything against the hull on the inside that could burn.

I'm pretty sure it's the Pro 165. The crack is near the front of the boat along the centerline...seems to be about 3 inches long.

Have it sprayed with bed-liner.
