I'm 18 years old and have been fishing for as long as I could remember. We've got pictures of me at Lake Fork wading in the water when I was 4 years old. All I do is fish and I'm wanting to get into tournament fishing but only have a little Jon boat that me and some friends go out in. Does anyone have any information or any advice to get me into tournament fishing, or sponsors of any kind?! Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

As a non boater you can get into draw tournaments as a co angler such as American Bass anglers, the Weekend Series or the FLW tournaments. It is a great way to learn and fish at the same time. Also, go to Bassmaster.com and read up on co angler etiquette that will help you out as well.
Good luck

The best way to get into tournament fishing is to join a bass club in your area. Most good clubs offer membership for both boaters and non-boaters alike. A great way to meet some great people and pick up some valuable information. If you're in the Killeen area Check out Lucky Strike Bass Club. A great bunch of top quality anglers.
