So i got a question....on the screen shot, the middle of the pic is black on each side, then turns to grey/white....what is that about?

If i'm understanding right, your asking about the dark color in the middle? If so, that is the water colum - or the amount of water between the bottom of the boat and the lake bottom. So, in deeper water, that space would be wider and in skinny water that space would be smaller.

Great shots guys! I'm still staring at mine, learning more every trip!
Bad thing is, when I'm catching fish I'm usually up front with trolling motor staring at a small color HB so I really never see what the SI looks like while I'm on a bunch O fish! When I think I see fish on SI/DI, I run up to my tiny graph in front to confirm its fish. That's gotta change lol

Great screen shots. Quite educational. Have not been to Tawakoni in 25 years. It may be time pay that lake a visit.

Mike don't you have the 798? did you mount it in the dash? If you mounted it on the bracket that came with the unit then it can be swiveled around ( the bracket that holds the unit ) to point to the front of the boat so you can watch both. That is what I am going to do smile ---LOL--
