 Need help fixing my boat.

I need a contact for a starter so I can fish out of my 86' tracker with out having to remove covers and crank with a screw driver..it's an 86' mercury 35 horse. Where might I be able to pick one up? I live in nacogdoches by the way

The solenoid contacts, if replaceable, can be found at any starter rebuilder. There are several of them here in Arlington.

Bought a new one for same motor on e-bay for 80.00.

If there is room inside the cowling you can use aa automobile solenoid. JUst be sure to get one that has the two small terminals to the coil so you can styill have neutral safety start. I did that on a 90 Merc i had, solenoid was about $16.00. I believe it was for a Ford product. b

what is the model number of the motor and do you have the part number of the exact component you need?
