I have duck hunted Cooper over the years and know my way around the lake, but I have not ever been there on a fishing trip. I was hoping to get away from the Tawakoni crowds this weekend and head to Cooper to put my dad on a few hybrids and sandbass. I just have no idea where to find'em. smile I am not looking for anyone's secret spots, but if someone can send point me in some good general directions on good starting areas, I would be grateful. I plan to launch from the state park on the South side of the lake and I am not sure if morning or afternoon would be best. Any schooling action yet, or are they all staying deep on points and humps?

I hope to fish Tawakoni or Cooper this weekend, if I can get my boat running.

Harpers Crossing is a HUGE horseshoe hump in middle of lake. get an AID Map and mark it. Look in shallow water where wind is blowing into buck brush.

Hire Tony Parker when you get a chance.

Look for schooling fish early and late. There is not alot of birds right now soo look for splashes.
The fish are stacked up on humps such harpers crossing (7-15ft). There is still fish in the buckbrush also.
