I was thinking of using it on my drop shot rig. Anyone have any feed back on using it for this application? What about visibility and sensitivity? Does it sink or float fast? Inquiring minds want to know.

I assume you are referring to Berkley Nanofil? Awesome stuff! I use the 10lb on my drop shot rod with a 10 lb Trilene 100% fluoro leader. Very manageable and smooth on and off the spool as well as extremely sensitive. Very visible for line watching. Also able to leave it on there for a long time... Spooled mine up in October and still going strong. Hope this helps.

I'm suprised with all the stumps you must fish James that you still like the stuff. It is NOT abrasion resistant at ALL

What about visibility to the fish? I fish alot of clear water and was wondering if it was low-vis

I would like it for dropshotting in new mexico but it does not seem very abrasion resistant so I am sticking with power pro when I am fishing around cover.

James introduced me to it. I have the 12lb nano. I love it with a 12 lb 100% leader. No memory what so ever. I really like it on my drop shot rig!

I tried it and it broke 3 times in 10 minutes. Honestly a waste of my money

you will not go wrong with power pro on drop shot spinning rig. I got one buddy that fishes 15# with no floro leader and he catches alot of fish. I personally like the floro leader but to each his own

I also have the 10# on my drop shot set up, and love it. I've turned a few of my fishing buddies on to it and they have had very good results with it as well. For people having breaking problems, it's most likely your knot, I use a modified albright know when connecting it to my fluorocarbon leader. I can't think of any applications where I would tie it straight to my hook. And as far as abrasion resistance goes, I haven't had any problems and i've never been afraid to put a drop shot in places it shouldn't go....
