Not really familiar with the area. But would like to give it a try. Anywhere I can park, launch, fish, and then paddle back to the same location?

HI
I live in San Marcos, and depending what part of the river you want to kayak in, about the only place you can fish in kayak and paddle upstream is in town, but too crowded. the second place would be at CR295 at the low bridge crossing, put in and paddle up to Cummings dam, and paddle back, the catch is that you can't park there, only unload, to park its anywhere 14/ to 1/2 mile away. The rest of the river has too much current to paddle upstream, you would need a shuttle. Thats the reason i stick to fishing the Guadalupe in your neck of the woods. Hope this helps, any more questions, let me know, and ill see if i can answer them.

Good fishing
Ray

Hello everyone, im always up for any type of fishing trips, but especially kayak fishing in Central TExas lakes and rivers, and the coast.

I lived there for 4 years up into a few months ago, Go Bobcats! Used to fish Skulls Crossing all the time. Past the tubers and flat water with decent fish until the Martindale Dam. http://g.co/maps/w3j9x
