I know this is probly OT, but I was thinking about doing some tent camping out at Big T this weekend and then going out fishing in the morning. You guys have any tips of places to stay out there for tent camping. There seems to be alot of RV spots but not as much tent sites. I have looked at Preston bend and it look pretty good. Any other suggestions?

Used to go to West Burns Run, pretty nice area to camp out at and they also have water and electric if needed. Restrooms also. Theres a channel that runs thru there I think that I've seen people fishing off a pier.

All of the above mentioned are good and all close to good fishing.. Since your bringing a boat I might really check out burns run..if you can reserve camp space on the water you will be able to beach your boat all weekend ..all their spaces are nice but the ones on the water are really nice and convenient

If you want to beach your boat all weekend thean East Burns is better than West. There are some sites that sit well back in a sheltered cove. If you really want to get in a sheltered cove and do not need electricity than Preston Bend is good. Sites 1 - about 12 do not have electricity. Some are not very well shaded. #1 is huge but off the lake a little. 2 warnings - 1. do not leave anything out in the boat even during the day & 2. look for snakes when you get in the boat. My wife sat down and crushed a cottonmouth under one of my seats. I did not find it until I lfted the seat up. I am just real fortunate she fished with me that morning.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying nothing at eisehower is on or even near the water...it's a beautiful park but sits up on a 100 steep cliff above the water..definitely no beaching your boat...if it is on the water then they have some I have never seen nor heard about... But again a beautiful park with a good boat ramp

jD is right there are no camp sites on the water in Eisenhower you have to trailer your boat after every trip.
