My bro and I are headed down there tomorrow to look at a boat for him. We were wondering what would be a close lake to there to give it a test run?

Tawakoni and Fork aren't too far away. Lavon is probably the closest.

Tawakoni is the closest it's about 25 minutes to the ramp at the 2 mile bridge - Fork is about 35/40 minutes to the public ramp on 515.

If the wind is blowing tomorrow like today Tawak will definately test a boat.

Ideally the ramp would have a dock and have a wide open area to run. I havent been to any of these lakes before so dont know the area at all. Thanks for the info!

I live in Greenville. Tawakoni or Hubbard depending on where you are in Greenville. Fork or Cooper are both 45+ minute drives

I lived in Greenville for 2 years, just south of 30 on HWY34. I could be at Tawakoni in 15 minutes.

You want to go to Tawakoni. There is plenty of open areas to run the boat and get out of the wind.
