Do i need an external antenna? I know my units have a built in antennas but when approaching coordinates that I pluged in, it seems that the crosshair keeps getting further away as I approach, and then the unit says that I have passed the cooridnates do I wish to continue searching. What am I doing wrong? I was told that and external antenna would re-fresh data faster, is this true?

Zoom in when you get closer like Jason said. Also, change your refresh rate to 1 second. For whatever reason, it's set to 5 seconds (I believe) by default. It definitely helps your GPS resolution to switch it to 1 second. It's down in the system menu somewhere. I can look it up if you don't know how or can't find it on a google search.

Thanks Patriot I didn't know there was a refresh setting in the menu settings. I'll find it and restet to one second. Thanks for the information that's too cool.
