After 12 years, My wife has made a few trips with me and now we are getting ready for our first Tournament together at Amistad this month, Here is my question, it is in regards to the potty thang. What is the best way to handle this? Is there something out there that maybe I do not know about that is used for this. I just want her experience on the water as pleasent as possible. Thanks

Depending on how big a "country girl" she is. Locating a public park with facilities ahead of time may be a good idea, or just keep your eye out for secluded coves.

Amistad has restroom facilities at all their boat ramps and through out the parks. I would also keep any eye out for some much secluded coves.

My wife and I fish tournaments all the time, not a good idea to ask him to interrupt the fishing to go to a park? My wife uses a
plastic coffee can and livewell when its empty(no fish).

It worked out with a bucket and a pancho, We had a great time, She lost the fish of a life time though, between 8 to 10 pounds, It was huge, it sure would of helped out our 13 pound limit but now she knows why they call it fishing instead of catching, she did great for her first time out and it meant so much having her there with me.

For in the boat .....coffee can ...and a plastic pancho! Okay, I have had just this discussion with the bf. The first time it came up is when we were heading to Falcon and were fishing Mexican water. You can't get out on their land without committing a big boo-boo. So, yes, out came the Folger's coffee can. Didn't use it that time, but did on Sam Rayburn two weekends ago at a tournament. Fortunately for me, modesty isn't too big a deal, but I still choose my moments carefully. We were on Amistad about a month ago. The facilities at the ramps are great, but I absolutely can't hold it for an entire day, so there was a trip or two into the beautiful wilderness. BF is definitely not going all the way to a ramp for me to tinkle! LOL One of the rare times it would be nice to be a guy and just aim off the boat!

I keep a bed pan in my boat, it's easy to use and empty and it looks like you are just sitting down.
