I was out there with my son hump hoppin. I would have been in a red/white old Skeeter. There were very few boats out Sunday. You should have stopped and said hello. Thanks for having that kind of thought process though. Most people don't.We ended up with quite a few in that area. They were really good there a couple of weeks ago but not as much this week. It seems like everything is moving in big packs and moving fast. I spend my time locating fish where they are today. Spot fishing is ok but the fish aren't always in that spot or even near it for that matter. How did yall do?

Well we were bass fishing for the most part of the morning and it was slow. So I wanted to go out and try to locate some fish. I have never looked for sandbass deep, but I have learned from you guys tol look for humps so I got on my maps on my lowrance and it showed me the 2 humps on the right side of the dam. You were on one and I didn't see any fish on the other. I still have a lot to learn, before this weekend I have only caught them when they are schooling on top

It seems to be more consistent fishing deep for me. You might be surprised to see the amount of quality largemouth bass you can catch on deep humps and slopes right along with the white fish or shortly after their departure. If your looking to learn how to find fish deep I would suggest getting hooked up with one of the local guides and learn how and what to look for with your electronics. That same knowledge translates to other lakes. I have a good one in mind if you decide to go that route.
