So, I was curious how many of the SAL fry were being re-introduced back to the lake. Of all those fish donated from Fork, here are the years they re-introduced SAL genetics.

Let me ask this: If there is a 20+ pounder, and if it's caught by a Slab Hunter, would you be disgusted or thrilled? I know, I know, the record was caught on a Minnow(BarrySt.Clair). I myself, would be impressed. The dude would probably get a column in Texas fish & Game too. haha

I think there is a 20-lb. class fish in the lake right now, yes. Maybe even a very small number of those fish.
Now whether or not it weighs 20 pounds today, probably not.
But it was probably close a month or two ago and will be very close again very early next spring.
Now whether that fish will ever get caught, that's another story.

No. I'm not a biologist, but I'd say the only 20 pounders are in trout stocked lakes. Bluegill, shad, tilapia or crawdads don't have the protein of trout. California has trout stocked lakes plus they don't have a SAL program. That's two reasons they grow so big out there. With no SAL program there isn't a "bounty" on every 13 plus pounders head. That's just my opinion.
