So I was at grapevine today and I was in this cove when it happened. There were teenbops around wake boarding and then they got to close. They got close a few times and I waved em off don't know if they saw me doing so but this time I was pulling my anchor up and I think it was caused by their wake and me being real tight on my anchor. I lost 3 rods and 2 tackle boxes rounds about 500$. They left before I could right myself so it makes me think they had a part in it considering they had been there for an hour or more. Oh well [censored] happens!
I was saving up for a fish finder but that will have to wait I have around 150-200 to spend on reels/rods I want two suggestions welcome!

You didnt have rod leashes? and secure you tackle boxes?

No I didnt have leashes but now I will little upset but oh well two of my tackles floated so I got those back. I'm going shopping tomorrow upgrade time thats how I see it. Live and learn. I didn't get thier numbers.

Hey Panama, me & Todd were out on Grapevine too today. We were at Murrell Park but ended up launching from Twin Coves Marina because of winds & white caps. We fished the cove next to the GTG location. Sorry that happened to you. That would total flip my lid if someone made me fall out of my kayak. You need to start going fishing with a buddy.

Yeah they will be bought the sametime I buy my reels.
There wasnt any wind in the morning but as the day went on it got worse so I moved into a cove and was sheltered from the high waves/wind. Guess the boaters thought the same thing. Yeah none of my friends fish so I go solo 100% of the time otherwise I would never fish.

damn sorry to hear that happened to ya.. grapevine lake owns one of my poles also... it sucks but hey i learned... also to save some cash make some leashes outta the curly old cell phone chargers or phone cords they work great and cost under 5 bucks for a bunch of em... thrift store plus a few clamps and clips and ur set
