Is Bass Champs really considering having this tournament? It was absolute chaos at Pace Bend yesterday. First thing I did before launching was pull a fellow TFFer out of the water and sand hole he was lodged in. We located a better spot to launch but upon arrival from fishing that place was taken by an RV. The whole park area was nothing but beach combers, jet skis, and families with their kids playing in the water. Now add 150 plus boats and trailers to this and you get a very unsafe situation for everyone not just fisherman/women. IMHO this tournament should have been moved a month ago. I hope they can come up with a solution to this problem other than them providing 4 wheel drive vehicles for those that need assistance getting un-stuck.

Well why would they have a tourny now when they cancelled Jan 28 date.I guess the the lake is holding alot more water with all the rain we received.I personally don't know what they are thinking about SAND PIT LAUNCH.Sound like alittle crazy.

Even if the lake has come up, the main question is how many usable ramps are there? To me backing off some sand point or rock bank and risking tearing up your trucks and or boats is a big issue.

Mansfields open. Run it or risk it. Don't really see what the big deal is.

I really enjoyed Meeting Bentrod and very thankful for him pulling me out, I was in a bad way for sure when he pulled up. It was crazy when we got back, The one area we found that was about 7 foot wide to launch was packed when we pulled in. Whats sad is I had a blast fishing the lake, it was my first time on that lake. I have no idea how all of this will happen this Saturday. I dont think folks know how dangerous it is, I know when I was loading my boat, there was a house with a motor that went about 10 feet from me and the next thing I know, there was a wall of water that went over my motor and filled my entire boat, Bentrod thanks again for your help and really enjoyed the visit after it was all said and done, see you saturday and bring a bull dozer.

The Lake Travis event will be a trailering event. There are several ramps open throughout the lake. Also, for those that would like to launch at Pace Bend we will have a solid location for launching off of the bank as well as tow vehicles for any anglers that need assistance like we have in the past. See you there!
