I've been pretty set on going to Gibbions Creek but it seems like the ongoing trend is the Bass fishing is slow. I'm going to be fishing out of a yak and haven't been fishing at any of the lakes around here. So where should I go, and what to fish with for bass? Thanks for any input guys

If your fishing out of a kayak lake Summerville is awesome they have small creeks that you can't get to in a boat but can with a kayak and fish will go there because there is less pressure, well at least that's what I think and I have had success there. An occasional bank fisher from the trail will be there. The creeks are usally a little muddy so take that into consideration when you go if you to Summerville and also if you launch at lake Summerville marina it's not a long paddle to that little island straight across and you can catch good fish there and by the dam it's where i caught my PB 8.67on a carolina rig. And the Lilly pads to the left when you leave the the ramp the morning topwater bite is really good

Big (7-10") soft plastics, Fire tiger squarebills (w/rattles), Colorado blade spinnerbaits (dark skirts) Wake baits/ buzzbaits (darker colors) first and last light, Black and blue jigs with a trailer of your choice doesnt matter. And also if you go to that island paddle around to tue back and you will see two openings depending on the wind get on one side of the and throw past the openings they have points that come off both that will hold fish.
