I figured out where I want everything to go and left plenty of room to adjust the seat so she will run level. All that's left is to install the anchor trolley.

The cooler is from Igloo. It has a removable liner and a zipper lid. It also has a small easy access lid on top. Since I have named the Frontier "The Escape Pod", I have already dubbed it "The Escape Hatch"!

Can't tell but, does the seat swivel? I like the overall set up. But is it an inconvenience to reach back for things? And, do your rods ever get caught up in overhangs? I like how u have your paddle secured.

If you know of an old Dagger Bayou 2 tandem kayak I am interested.

Nice setup... I like that Igloo cooler. Where'd you find that one?

Yes, the seat swivels 360 degrees.I can just stick my legs out straight and swing right around to the back. It's one of the best things about the Frontier! Overhangs are not a problem at most of my fishing spots on the lake. On the river I will only carry two rods and they will ride in the Scotty's in the horizontal position until I'm ready to use them. The paddle keepers came with the Frontier.

Check the clearance section. It was about $16 bucks. They make it in other colors for about $25. I guess folks didn't like the green. Considering the $10 savings, I LOVE puke green!!!

Man you got a lot of stuff.. I've made the move to "less is more" And take only what I really need.. a small backpack with a small tackle box, some snacks and drinks. It's what I have learned to do without that makes the experience of kayaking more rewarding to me. I look for places where the cell phone doesn't work too wink

Just a few questions:

1) How steady is it with the seat so high ?

2) What's it weigh ?

3) Can my 6'1"/250 lb. butt ride in it ?

4) How much ?

5) Where can I get one ?

I didn't realize I had that much! I don't always target just one kind of fish, so I come ready for just about anything. My tackle box has a few of my favorite bass baits, ul baits for crappie and sunnies and all I need for the big boys. Its also contains first aid and tools. Probably not much more than you carry in the backpack and tackle box. I gotta have my cooler! When I go it's all day or all night and I gotta have my cold chicken legs and root beer! The crate won't have much in it either. A gallon of frozen water for drinking and a spare anchor. And not everything will go every time. If I know for a fact the crappie are biting at the 103 bridge, then I would have no need for the frabill bucket, the flowtroll will do just fine. I wouldn't need the red cooler either. That's my funky bait bucket for shrimp, worms, etc. And I'm not going anywhere without my net!!!

1. It's very stable. Almost like a flatbottom boat.

2. 77lbs.

3. I'm 6'2'' 250lbs. and she's still dry on top!

4. MSRP $1129.

5. Mike Stovall at Mariner-Sails in Dallas fixed me up. Good guy. Check 'em out!!!

Its something that I conciously try to avoid, but difficult because even after I get everything together for a trip, I will add just one more thing ... then one more, and so it goes. And, oh yeah, I might need that too ... think I'll bring it along.

Of course I don't usually have the problem of having to fit a monster carp in the yak with me like Joe, so I have room for a little extra.
