I've let myself run very low on jigs...less than a dozen left. Some faded and some hooks slightly rusted. Picking a jig seems to be the most difficult for me in lure choices. Please tell me which jig you use and why, colors, cover, etc. I'm going to make a big order soon so shoot straight w/me guys...thanks.Also, thanks for for the tips on braided line, I'm going to pick some up tomorrow. Thanks in advance guys. powdr

Santone, IMO they make the best jig out there, quality components all the way around, very durable paint finish.

I really love the Talon Original Flipping jig. It is a well made jig and very versatile. I have fished it in rock, timber, grass, docks, everything and the head design allows it to come through everything and the trailer sits perfect on it. The design specs I like most is first the finish on the head, it is rock solid and will not chip. The colors on their skirts are awesome and are tied with wire so they are incredibly durable. It has a very strong, sharp hook and they come with a wire trailer keeper so your craw stays exactly where you put it. I searched for a jig I really loved and found mine in the Talon, I hope you find a jig YOU have confidence in.

Oldham's. They do not bend, flex or break. +2 specially if you fish Amistad or Falcon. Terry's jigs in green and brown variations are killers.

I was in the same boat you were a month ago(Low stock on Jigs) Used to throw nothing but Stanleys,Strike King and had great success with those. Here recently I've tried many brands and boiled it down to Jewel Jigs- The Flippin Jig has a "Trailer Lock" that keeps your trailer from sliding around, The Football jigs are great around cover, I've yet to lose one. The Swim Jigs are Awesome too.JMO.

I like the jewel trailer lock it should be on every jig ever. But I have bent several of their hooks. Triple rattleback by lunker lure are oldy but a real goody

Here are my reasons to for putting Double K jigs at the top of the list. Small company, only makes jigs so all focus is only on producing quality jigs, top of the line components, built to last, custom designs and colors, built to catch fish not fishermen. They are built with standup design, both heavy and finesse, full skirts, all are "wired" hand tied, all have rattle collar to allow customize, with or w/o rattles. Heavy jigs have big heavy wide gap hook, finesse jigs also have beefy hook no flimsy wire hook. Brush bomb, Football, Rock and Dock, all have flat spot design on head which allows for better standup presentation. Alot of the standard colors are based on Paca baits which allows for a perfect match-up with trailer. Here are a couple of pics, don't have the football Brush Bomb Finesse Rock & Dock

I have to agree with Rod Bender. I fish a jig alot and the best I've found are the Double K jigs. Extremely well made, and available in some great colors. They have great hooks and the wire wrap is the only way to go.

I use jig/craw combo about 90% of the time, I really like the dirty swim jigs from Tackle wharehouse in any perch color right now with a YoMoma big bite bait trailer. Of course I still keep a 3/8oz blk/blu strike king tied on. If I should lose it its no big deal to replace, and they catch fish all year long
